SmartLayers is an early stage startup that developed a document
management and automation platform that leverages machine learning to
automate the classification and extraction of structured information
from document-heavy business processes. Our system allows businesses to
streamline data entry processes at super-human accuracy levels.
- Developed a Software as a Service platform for key information
extraction from documents with full management of datasets, machine
learning models, and the deployment of such models (pipelines) that
achieve 97.5% average accuracy.
- Leveraged Google Cloud Compute Engine and GKE to materialize a cost
effective service for end users.
- Used RabbitMQ as the primary message bus and MongoDB as the primary
database for the startup.
- As our client base grew we were exposed to new and diverse types of
documents, Led the efforts to assure we maintain our high levels of
accuracy on the new types of documents our system had to handle.
- Led the architecture design to ensure efficient and predictable
deployments.
- Personally took care of developing key features in the machine
learning libraries, HTTP APIs, and platform deployment to our Linux
servers.
- Managed a team of 10 engineers across front end, backend, and
machine learning teams by defining key short term and mid term goals
driven by our product and revenue roadmap.

Cross Entropy Solutions is a small consulting firm specialized in
modernizing business processes by focusing on software development, data
engineering, and design thinking.

- Led the design and development of a custom forecasting and budget
control system using javascript and python for one of the largest
producers of agricultural commodities in Argentina. We allowed the
company to increase their revenues by 20% by using our
farm planning software to take on more land.
- Led the design and development of a decision support system for
psychiatrists for a successful Argentine startup that develops custom
healthcare solutions. Our solution was used in a double-blind study and
proved that there was a 38% increase patient
self-reported wellbeing.
- Participated in the design and development of a remote conflict
resolution platform for the Arbitration industry. Our solution allowed
the international arbitration court of Madrid to process over
50 arbitrations remotely for the first time, driving up
their revenue an estimated 80% and quickly reacting to
the new digital reality imposed during the events of 2019-2020.
